Variable Swirl System Operation Inspection: Notes
- Access the ECT PID using the M-MDS. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST .)
- Verify that the ECT PID is below 0 °C {32 °F} .
- Start the engine.
- Inspect the rod operation under the following conditions: Rod operation
Engine speed 3,250 rpm Below Above Shutter valve actuator Operate Not operate
