July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Condenser Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  2. Discharge the refrigerant. (See REFRIGERANT CHARGING .)
  3. Remove the front under cover No. 1. (See FRONT UNDER COVER NO. 1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  5. Remove the radiator. (See RADIATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  6. Remove the condenser. (See CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  7. Inspect the condenser for cracks, damage, and oil leakage.
  8. Visually inspect for bent fins for restriction or foreign matter.
    • If any fins are restricted, remove the foreign matter.
  9. Visually inspect for bent fins.
    • If any fins are bent, use the end of a flathead screwdriver to straighten fins.
