DTC U0420:68 (LASER SENSOR) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DTC  U0420:68  Abnormal message from EPS control module 
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • Correct data cannot be received from EPS CM
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION 
  • Inhibits the smart city brake support (SCBS) controls.
  • Illuminates the master warning light
  • The message "SCBS Inspection Required" is indicated in the display.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • EPS CM malfunction
