Shift Lock Inspection
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (engine off).
- Verify that the selector lever is in the P position.
- Without the brake pedal depressed, verify that the selector lever cannot be shifted the P position.
- Depress the brake pedal and verify that the selector lever can be shifted from the P position.
- If there is any malfunction, adjust the interlock cable. (See INTERLOCK CABLE ADJUSTMENT .)
