Oil Cooler Installation Note

  1. Completely remove any oil, dirt, or other foreign matter from the oil cooler seating surface and the oil cooler bolts.
    CAUTION:
    • Do not apply engine coolant to the following areas and parts. Otherwise, the O-ring could swell causing a seal malfunction.
      • O-ring installation groove of oil cooler
      • Oil cooler installation surface of cylinder block
      • O-ring
  2. Install new O-rings to the oil cooler.

  3. Temporarily tighten the oil cooler bolts until they are seated.
  4. Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the figure.

    Tightening torque 

    • 8-11 N. {82-112 kgf., 71-97 in.lbf}
  5. Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the figure again.

    • 8-11 N. {82-112 kgf., 71-97 in.lbf}
