Manual Air Conditioner: Inspection

1. Switch the ignition ON.
2. Verify that the rear window defogger switch LED illuminates using the rear window defogger switch.
3. Verify that the heated outer mirrors and rear window defogger warm up.
   • If the heated outer mirror and rear defogger do not warm up, perform an inspection of each related part.

     Inspection of rear window defogger control signal reception condition for front body control module (FBCM) 

     • Use the front body control module (FBCM) PID/data monitor inspection DEFOG_R_CS to inspect the rear window defogger control signal reception condition. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION [FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM)] .) (See PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM)] .)

     Rear window defogger relay ON/OFF control inspection 

     • Measure the terminal voltage at the front body control module (FBCM) terminal 1P. (See FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM) INSPECTION .)

Rear window defogger relay inspection 

• Inspect the rear window defogger relay. (See RELAY INSPECTION .)

Rear window defogger inspection 

• Inspect the rear window defogger. (See REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER INSPECTION .)

Heated outer mirror inspection 

• Inspect the heated outer mirrors. (See OUTER MIRROR GLASS INSPECTION .)
