2017-2018 CX-5 with VINs lower than JM3KF********307507 (produced before Nov. 6, 2017)

DESCRIPTION

Some customers may complain that the driver's seat does not automatically move to the programmed position when unlocking the driver's door with the remote transmitter unlock button (1), unless the button is pressed repeatedly (more than two times).

NOTE:
  • The symptom occurs when the instrument cluster is in sleep mode. Sleep mode occurs when ten (10) minutes or more have passed after the doors are locked with the remote transmitter or request switch.
  • The system operates normally when unlocking the driver's door with the request switch button (2).

Driver Seat Position Memory 

  1. Seat Slide
  2. Reclining
  3. Lift

This concern is caused by improper position memory control module software. To eliminate this concern, the software has been corrected.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

  1. Verify the customer concern.
  2. Replace the position memory control module with a modified one according to the instructions on MGSS online (POSITION MEMORY CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
