Cargo Compartment Light Removal/Installation

Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
CAUTION:
- When inserting the remover tool in the gap between the cargo compartment light and the trunk side upper trim, the remover tool could interfere with the trunk side upper trim and scratch or damage it. When removing the cargo compartment light from the trunk side upper trim, apply protective tape to the trunk side upper trim.
To prevent scratches or damage, apply protective tape to the position shown in the figure.

Insert the remover tool into the gap between the cargo compartment light and the trunk side upper trim.
Move the remover tool in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and pull out the tab of the cargo compartment light from the trunk side upper trim.

Move the cargo compartment light in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure and pull out the cargo compartment light from the trunk side upper trim.
Disconnect the connector.

Remove the cargo compartment light.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
