Activating Remote Control By Smart Phone
- Verify that the vehicle is under the following conditions.
- Connected vehicle maintenance mode is canceled (See SERVICE CAUTIONS FOR VEHICLES WITH TELEMATICS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM [(US)] .)
- Remote transmitter that can start engine is in vehicle
- Pacemaker radio interference prevention function is off (disabled) (See SECURITY AND LOCKS-RELATED PARTS PROGRAMMING .)
- Power saving function of remote transmitter is off (disabled)NOTE:
- For the power saving function switching method, refer to [Remote Transmitter] in the service highlights/technical guide.
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
- Activate the M-MDS and perform the following procedure.
- Press [Start] to start the vehicle identification.
- Press the [Toolbox] tab.
- Press the [Work Support] icon.
- Press [Mazda Connect].
- Press [Run] for [Activating Remote Control by Smart Phone].
- Perform [Activating Remote Control by Smart Phone] according to the directions on the M-MDS screen.
- If servicing is performed after turning off (disabling) the pacemaker radio wave interference prevention function and the power saving function of the remote transmitter, turn on (enable) the functions.
