Heated Steering Wheel Control Unit Removal/Installation
WARNING:
- Handling the driver-side air bag module improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. - Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more.
- Remove the following parts.
- Driver-side air bag module.

- Steering wheel bezel.
- Steering wheel.
- Steering shift switch. (With steering shift switch)

- Steering wheel cover (See STEERING WHEEL COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Driver-side air bag module.
- Remove the heated steering wheel control unit screws.
- Remove the heated steering wheel control unit from the steering wheel.
- Disconnect the clip.
- Disconnect the connector from the heated steering wheel control unit.NOTE:
- Be careful not to bend the connector tab.
- Peel off the plastic tape wrapped around the heated steering wheel control unit.NOTE:
- When installing the heated steering wheel control unit, wrap new plastic tape.
- Disconnect the heated steering wheel unit element from the heated steering wheel control unit.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
