Troubleshooting Diagnostic Procedure

C1A67-87: (VCM) TROUBLESHOOTING DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection	Results	Action
1	PURPOSE: INSPECT VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (VCM) AND BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) FOR MALFUNCTION Perform the DTC inspection for the vehicle control module (VCM) and body control module (BCM). (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is a DTC related to an internal malfunction displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [VCM] .) (See DTC TABLE [BCM] .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	PURPOSE: VERIFY DTCs Perform the DTC inspection for the following modules. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Front radar sensor Electronically controlled brake unit/DSC HU/CM Body control module (BCM) Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [FR] .) (See DTC TABLE [DSC] .) (See DTC TABLE [BCM] .)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	PURPOSE: INSPECT VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (VCM) AND BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) CONFIGURATION DATA FOR MALFUNCTION Perform the DTC inspection for the vehicle control module (VCM) and body control module (BCM). (See DTC INSPECTION .) Are any of the following DTCs displayed? U2300-54: U2300-55: U2300-56: U2300-64:	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [VCM] .) (See DTC TABLE [BCM] .)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	PURPOSE: VERIFY ALL SYSTEM DTCs Perform the quick check. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Are any DTCs other than this DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	PURPOSE: INSPECT FRONT RADAR SENSOR FOR MALFUNCTION DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) Perform the DTC inspection for the vehicle control module (VCM). (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the front radar sensor and perform the repair completion verification 1. (Refer to FRONT RADAR SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in service information.)
5		No	Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 1	PURPOSE: VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) Perform the DTC inspection for the vehicle control module (VCM). (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the body control module (BCM), then go to the next step. (Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in service information.)
Repair completion verification 1		No	Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 2	PURPOSE: VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
Repair completion verification 2		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
