Function Explanation (DTC Detection Outline)
- The PCM stores a DTC when an open circuit in the signal circuit wiring harness (COM wiring harness) is detected. In addition, when there is an open circuit in the A/F sensor signal circuit wiring harness (COM wiring harness), the voltage at A/F sensor terminal F becomes unstable. At this time, the PCM determines that there is an open circuit in the A/F sensor signal circuit wiring harness (COM wiring harness), and stores a DTC.
- The A/F sensor cannot be monitored unless it is activated because the A/F sensor element has an insulation property under a specified temperature range.
