Rearview Mirror Removal/Installation: Notes

Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Remove the sensor cover. (See SENSOR COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
CAUTION:
- Detach the rearview mirror from the mirror base while holding the rearview mirror by hand. Otherwise, the rearview mirror may fall off and be damaged.
Move the rearview mirror in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure below and detach the rearview mirror from the mirror base.

Remove the rearview mirror. (See REARVIEW MIRROR INSTALLATION NOTE .)
Install in the reverse order of removal.
