Fuel Leak Check
- Remove air cleaner and check for any visible fuel leaks. Pull off fuel pump relay and bridge terminals 7 and 8 for a short moment to establish pressure.
- Push air flow sensor plate down manually. Uniform resistance should be felt across entire path. No resistance should be felt during fast upward movement, since the following control piston slowly lifts off from adjusting lever. If upward movement is slow, control piston should closely follow.
- Check control piston in fuel distributor for leaks. Push air flow sensor plate completely down for a short moment and hold in this position, a small quantity of leaking being OK. If no excessive fuel leaks are evident go to next test.
