Injection Timer: Adjustment

  1. Remove air cleaner cover. Remove closing plug from regulator (catch emerging oil). Connect Digital Tester (Sun Mag 81 1019 and 2110). See Figure .
  2. With engine at idle, read TI-valve (indirect injection timing) at idle speed (725-775 RPM on digital tester). Check RI valve (15° ATDC).
  3. Stop engine and disconnect digital tester. Screw in closing plug on regulator. Mount air cleaner top. Perform leak test with engine running.
