Manual drive mode selection, function - GF27.60-P-3011G
TRANSMISSION 722.6 in MODELS 170, 202, 208, 210 without touch shift
TRANSMISSION 722.6 in MODEL 129, 140
Operation
With the selector lever and the program selection switch W/S (S16/10s2) of the floor shift it is possible to adapt the automatic sequence of the shift to specific operating conditions.
Although the selector lever position can be changed in the forward gears while driving, the electronic transmission control (ETC) prevents over-revving of the engine.
When the program switch is in position "W" (winter mode)10, a lower overall ratio and thus a lower drive torque is available when driving forwards and in reverse. This allows the vehicle to move off more gently.
