Test 42: Vehicle Identified

NOTE: This procedure applies to all vehicles equipped with power sliding sunroof except CLK320 convertible models.

Connect Hand-Held Tester (HHT) to Data Link Connector (DLC) located in engine bay. Monitor overhead control panel control module readings. Verify if installed overhead control panel control module is properly coded. YES will be displayed on HHT is overhead control panel control module is properly coded. NO will be displayed if overhead control panel control module is not coded. Check version codes in electronic ignition switch control module. If overhead control panel control module will not code, replace and recode.
