Test 43: Sliding Sunroof Switch

NOTE: This procedure applies to all vehicles equipped with power sliding sunroof except CLK320 convertible models.

Connect Hand-Held Tester (HHT) to Data Link Connector (DLC) located in engine bay. Monitor overhead control panel control module readings. Turn ignition on. Press switch back to open sunroof; SR OPENS should be displayed on HHT. Release switch; "0" should be displayed on HHT. Press switch forward to close sunroof; CLOSES should be displayed on HHT. Press switch up to pop rear of sunroof up; POP-UP ROOF "UP" should be displayed on HHT. Pull switch down to close sunroof; CLOSES should be displayed on HHT. If readings are not as described, check condition of overhead control panel control module and power sunroof switch. Repair or replace as necessary. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS .
