Test Preparation
CAUTION:
To avoid damaging control modules all electrical testing should be done with a DVOM. DO NOT use an analog meter or test light to check control module circuits.
Review component locations. Ensure battery voltage to be 11-14 volts. Check fuses. Review connector layout. Ensure convenience to be functional. All voltage checks are to be done with ignition switch in ON position. If problem is found, repair as necessary. If problem is not found, continue diagnosis. See FUNCTION TESTS .
