Child protection, function - GF72.29-P-3008GH

MODEL 163 with CODE (236) Power windows (front and rear doors)

The child protection function is activated by the rear window safety switch (S21s5)  , located in the front center console. If this switch is in the right position (child protection activated) the left rear power window switch (S21/15s1)  and right rear power window switch (S21/15s2)  , located in the rear center console are disabled. The rear power window safety switch (S21s5) interrupts the power supply to the rear power window switches.

Thereby the rear power windows can only be operated with the switches in the front center console.

If the child protection feature is activated the switch illumination of the power window switch assembly in the rear center console (S21/15) is also switched off.

Function valid as of 01.09.01 

When the rear power window safety switch (N72s5) in the upper control panel control module (N72)  is activated the

• left rear power window switch (N72/2s1) and 
• right rear power window switch (N72/2s2) 

in the rear control panel control module (N72/2)  are disabled.

Activation of the power windows via the rear control panel control module (N72/2)  is disabled immediately when the child protection system is active.

The illumination of the rear control panel control module (N72/2) is not activated when the child protection system is active.
