Switching on windshield defroster

Function prerequisites: Engine is running.
Actuate windshield defroster switch (S14/4). (LED in switch comes on)
The special vehicle multifunction control module (SVMCM) (N26/9) receives the signal and actuates the windshield defroster relay (K13/2).
The windshield defroster relay (K13/2) connects circuit 30 to windshield defroster (R22/2).

The heating time depends on the speed. (Signal from instrument cluster (A1)):

Function when voltage is too low

When voltage is too low is recognized (< 11.2 V) the windshield defroster switches off and the LED in the windshield defroster switch (S14/4) starts flashing.

If the voltage in the vehicle electrical system increases to above 11.2 V within 30 s the windshield defroster is switched back on and the LED comes on continuously.

However, if the voltage is too low for longer than 30 s the windshield defroster switches off completely.
