Coolant temperature sensor function - GF07.04-P-5026-04AM

The NTC resistor integrated in the coolant temperature sensor alters its electrical resistance in line with the coolant temperature. The ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) applies a sensor voltage of 5 V and evaluates the signal voltage in accordance with the coolant temperature.

NTC means " egative emperature oefficient", which means: the electrical resistance drops with increasing temperature (thermal resistor).

EXAMPLE

Coolant temperature Resistor
20°C 090 Ω ± 5%
80°C 320 Ω ± 5%

IMPORTANT The connection assignment (polarity) of connection pin 1 and 2 is random.
