	Removing
1	Read out variant coding of CDI control unit (N3/9) using STAR DIAGNOSIS	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS system and read in the variant coding from the control unit into STAR DIAGNOSIS, see: ↓
		Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2	Withdraw ignition key
3	Remove cover (1) of fuse and relay box (6)
4	Unlock electrical connector (2, 3) and detach
5	Release ratchet (5) and remove CDI control unit (N3/9) from fuse and relay box (6)
	Install
6	Insert CDI control unit (N3/9) into fuse and relay box (6) and push downwards until notches (5) lock
7	Place electrical connectors (2, 3) on CDI control unit (N3/9) and lock
8	Fit cover (1) of fuse and relay box (6)	Inspect rubber seal in cover and replace if necessary. Cover must be located in the groove at the rear.
9	Transfer variant coding into new control unit	Transfer variant coding of previously installed control unit stored in STAR DIAGNOSIS system into new control unit. STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system
10	Start up control unit using STAR DIAGNOSIS	When replacing the control unit it must be adapted to the vehicle using menu item "Initial startup" in STAR DIAGNOSIS.
