The current fuel consumption is sent to the trip computer in the instrument cluster (A1) by the ME control unit (N3/10) in the form of square-wave pulse packages.
One square-wave pulse means 0.2 l/h.
The instrument cluster consumption signal is thus calculated (e.g. 8.2 l/h) and displayed in the multifunction display.
