Function

A multidisk clutch consists of several internally toothed plates on an internal plate carrier and externally toothed plates on an external plate carrier. Single-sided disks are used on the K1 multi-disk clutch, on the K2 multi-disk clutch and on the K3 multi-disk clutch.

On this type of lamella the friction lining is only applied on one side. Among other things, this improves heat distribution in the disk pack, the design of the disk pack is more compact, the load-bearing capacity is increased and the mass is reduced.
