| 2 | Remove screw/bolt (1) | *BA15.30-P-1003-01N | |
| 3 | Remove protection against accidental contact for circuit 30 (2) electrical line from starter (M1) | ||
| 4 | Disconnect electrical line of circuit 30 (2) from starter (M1) | *BA15.30-P-1001-01N | |
| 5 | Disconnect electrical line of circuit 50 (3) from starter (M1) | *BA15.30-P-1002-01N | |
| 6 | Take out starter (M1) upwards | ||
| 7 | Remove upper engine cover | ||
| 8 | Unclip pipework for Active Roll Stabilization on impact plate | For turning of the engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft and for vehicle with code 468 (ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM) |

| 9 | Remove impact plate | For turning the engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft | |
| 10 | Check ring gear on drive plate for wear and damage | When replacing the starter (M1) Rotate engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation; replace clutch plate in the case of wear and damage: ↓ |
