COMPLAINT

Heating stays on warm/hot even when set cold.
Vehicle heats up suddenly/constantly.
The air conditioning fails intermittently.

CAUSE

Several causes could come into consideration for this complaint:

Chafing / damage in wiring harness of air conditioning.
An internally malfunctioning actuator motor can cause sporadic failures in the LIN bus.
Incorrectly pinned lines in the connectors.

REMEDY

Clearly identify the fault and document it. Before repairing, take photos of the damaged area and create a PTSS informational case. Attach the pictures to the PTSS case. The pictures should clearly show the area where the damage is located. (See example photos in the attachment).
