SUBJECT

Model C/GT/G-Class vehicles (205/190/463 platforms)

Model Years 2015-2018

Update engine control unit software

Mercedes-Benz AG ("MBAG"), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain Model Year 2015-2018 C/GT/G-Class vehicles (205/190/463 platforms), the engine control software may not meet current specifications. Upon vehicle start-up, the catalytic converter may not achieve proper operating temperatures due to decreased engine idle speed. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the engine control software.

Prior to performing this Recall Campaign:

Please note that Recall Campaigns do not expire  and may also be performed on a vehicle with a vehicle status indicator.

Approximately 4,728 vehicles are involved.
