Pick-Up Coil Assembly & Distributor Wiring Harness Check

  1. Disconnect control module 4-wire connector and inspect for dirt, corrosion or damage. Connect ohmmeter leads to connector terminal that mate with Orange and Purple control module wires.
  2. Resistance should be 400-1300 ohms. If so, proceed to CONTROL MODULE TO DISTRIBUTOR WIRING HARNESS CHECK. If resistance is not to specifications, proceed to PICK-UP COIL RESISTANCE CHECK.
