Idle Speed Control (ISC) Motor
ISC motor controls idle speed by moving throttle lever. This regulates airflow to maintain desired engine RPM for warm engine or to provide additional engine speed required during cold engine idle.
Idle Tracking Switch (ITS), which is integral to ISC motor, signals when throttle lever has contacted actuator. This input will signal ECA with need to control engine RPM. ISC motor extends or retracts linear shaft through gear reduction system. Motor direction is determined by polarity of applied voltage.
