New belt tension should measure 150-190 lbs. for alternator, power steering pump and A/C compressor 50-90 lbs. for water pump and air pump. Used belt tension should measure 140-160 lbs. for alternator, power steering pump and A/C compressor 40-60 lbs. for water pump and air pump.
