  2. Turn key to OFF position. Disconnect the keypad connector located in the driver side door. Measure the resistance of the keypad lamp circuit between the Pink and Black wires at the connector leading to the keypad. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Is the resistance approximately 3 ohms? If yes, go to next step. If no, replace the keyless entry keypad. See KEYPAD  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check the wire(s) leading to the keypad for signs of open(s) before replacing.
  3. Turn key to OFF position. Disconnect the keyless entry module 20-pin input connector located behind the left inner kick panel. Disconnect the keypad connector. Measure the resistance of the Pink wire between the keyless entry module input connector and ground. Measure the resistance of the Pink wire between the keyless entry module input connector and the keypad harness connector. Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms between the keyless entry module input connector and ground, and less than 5 ohms between the keyless entry module input connector and the keypad harness connector? If yes, go to next step. If no, service Pink wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  4. Turn key to OFF position. Disconnect the keypad connector. Measure the resistance of the Black wire between the keypad harness connector and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? If yes, replace the keyless entry module. See KEYLESS ENTRY MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If no, service Black wire for an open. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
