Section 230 (Cruise Control Systems): Switch: Removal

The speed control switches are mounted in the steering wheel and wired through the clock spring device under the airbag module.
WARNING:
IF REMOVAL OF AIRBAG MODULE IS NECESSARY, REFER TO AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS

- Remove the negative battery cable.
- Turn off ignition.
- Remove the air bag, refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article for more information.
- Remove the screw from bottom of the switch.
- Remove switch from steering wheel.
- Disconnect two-way electrical connector.
- Repeat for the other switch.
