Pinpoint Test C - No Keypad Switch Illumination

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect keyless entry keypad connector. Measure resistance between Pink and Black wires of keypad connector. If resistance is about 3 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not about 3 ohms, check wires for opens. If wires are okay, replace keypad.
  2. Disconnect 20-pin control module connector. Disconnect keypad connector. Measure resistance of Pink wire between 20-pin connector and ground. Measure resistance of Pink wire between 20-pin connector and keypad connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms between connectors, and more than 10,000 ohms between connector and ground, go to next step. If resistances are not correct, repair Pink wire.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect keypad connector. Measure resistance of Black wire between connector and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace control module. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair Black wire.
