Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair



REMOVAL



1. Drain the coolant below the level of the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor.
2. Disconnect the ECT electrical connector.



3. Use a deep well socket to remove the ECT sensor from the intake manifold coolant outlet.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Tighten the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor to 15-20 Nm (11-14 ft lb).
3. Fill the cooling system.
