Engine Control Module: Service and Repair



REMOVAL

CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the glove compartment box.



3. Remove the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) electrical connector bolt. Pull the connector from the PCM and position aside.



4. Remove the two PCM bolts.



5. Remove the PCM from behind the instrument panel.

INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Tighten the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) electrical connector bolt until the red projection appears.
