Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the intake manifold.
3. Remove the two Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor screws.
4. Remove the CMP sensor from the cylinder head.

INSTALLATION
1. Inspect the O-rings for damage and replace as necessary.
2. Lubricate the O-rings with light engine oil and insert the CMP sensor in the cylinder head.
3. Install the two CMP screws and tighten them to 20-30 Nm (15-22 lb ft).
4. Install the intake manifold.
5. Connect the battery ground cable.
