Selector Mechanism: Assembly
- Using a suitable driver, drive in the upper bearing of the gearshift lever shaft.

- Drive the seals in with a suitable driver as far as the stop.

- Install the lower bearing of the gearshift lever shaft.
- Tighten the gearshift lever shaft nut.

- Adjust the gearshift lever shaft end float by tapping on it lightly.

- Install the selector lever shaft and the guide bracket with the ball joint.

- Using the special tool, drive the ball sleeve into the selector gate.

- Slide the snap ring and washer onto the selector shaft.

- Assemble the selector finger and bracket.
- Position the selector finger.
- Position the selector finger bracket.

- Install the selector finger bracket and the selector shaft.

- Install the selector gate and selector shaft to the selector mechanism housing.
- Install the springs.

- Install the internal selector mechanism cover using Gasket Maker F8AZ-19B508-AB meeting Ford specification WSK-M2G348-A5.

- Install the reversing lamp actuating pin.
