Selector Mechanism: Disassembly

Remove the reversing lamp switch.

Remove the reversing lamp actuating pin.

Remove the gearshift lever and the cover of the internal selector mechanism.

Remove the bolts and disconnect the selector gate and selector shaft from the selector mechanism housing.
- Remove the springs.

Remove the selector shaft.
1. Remove the bolt.
2. Pull out the selector shaft.
3. Remove the selector finger and bracket.

Remove the snap ring and washer from the selector shaft.

Using the special tool, drive the ball sleeve out of the selector gate.

Loosen the bolt and remove the guide bracket.

Remove the gearshift and selector lever shafts.
1. Gearshift lever shaft.
2. Selector lever shaft.
  - Remove the ball joint.

Remove the oil seals.

Using a suitable driver, drive out the two bearings of the gearshift lever shaft downward.
