Speed Control Servo: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Disconnect the speed control servo electrical connector.
    • Depress the connector tab.
    • Disconnect the connector.

  3. Release the speed control cable cap.
    1. Depress the speed control cable cap retaining tab.
    2. Rotate the speed control cable cap counterclockwise and pull the cable cap away from the servo housing.

  4. Disconnect the speed control cable.
    1. Depress the spring retainer.
    2. Slide the core wire end out of the speed control servo pulley and disconnect the speed control actuator cable.

  5. Remove the speed control servo.
    1. Remove the nuts.
    2. Remove the speed control servo.

  6. Separate the bracket from the speed control servo.
    1. Remove the screws.
    2. Separate the bracket from the speed control servo.

  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
