Removal and Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
  2. Disconnect the catalyst monitor sensor electrical connector.
  3. NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the catalyst monitor sensor with penetrating and lock lubricant to ease removal.
  4. Using the special tool, remove the catalyst monitor sensor.
    • To install, tighten to 41 Nm (30 lb-ft).

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Apply a light coat of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the catalyst monitor sensor.
