Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM): Removal

NOTE:
The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the correct Restraints Control Module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition is ON.
NOTE:
The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
- Turn the ignition OFF and wait at least one minute.
- Remove the 2 screws and Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM).
- Disconnect the OCSM electrical connector.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Carry out the Occupant Classification System (OCS) System Reset procedure. For additional information, refer to OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR (OCS) SYSTEM RESET in the GENERAL PROCEDURES .
WARNING:
Turn the ignition OFF and wait one minute to deplete the backup power supply. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury or death in the event of an accidental deployment.
