Front Wiper Motor: Pickup
- If wiper motor operates, perform the following test to check wiper motor current draw. Disconnect wiper motor linkage from crankarm. Connect an ammeter, set to DC 10-amp range, to Blue/White wire of wiper motor and battery positive terminal.
- Connect a jumper wire from ground to Blue/Orange wire and to Blue/Black wire. Operate motor under no load and test for number of revolutions per minute. If the current value is less than 3 amps in both high and low positions, motor is okay. At low speed, motor should turn at 45 RPM, and at high speed at 70 RPM.
- If wiper motor does not operate or operates at only one speed, check for open in wiring or faulty switch. Repair wiring or replace switch as necessary. If wiring and switch test good, replace motor.
NOTE:
Other models front wiper motor testing is not available from manufacturer.
