Hydraulic System Bleeding
- Disconnect coil high tension wire. Crank engine intermittently for 15-20 seconds while turning steering wheel left and right.
- Connect coil high tension wire. Start engine and let it idle. Turn steering wheel left and right until there are no air bubbles in the oil reservoir.
- Check fluid level and confirm that fluid is not milky. Turn steering wheel left and right and check to see that fluid level does not change.
- If fluid level changes more than .2" (5 mm) or if noise is heard from pump and control valve, fill with fluid to the "MAX" mark on dipstick.
- Repeat step 2) until air bubbles are no longer present in fluid and fluid level ceases to fluctuate more than .2" (5 mm).
CAUTION:
Do not hold steering wheel to left or right for more than 10 seconds.
