PURPOSE

This bulletin provides information which does not appear in the 1987 or 1988 Precis Service Manuals. The following diagrams are to be used for troubleshooting the Precis 5-Speed Manual Transmission Select Switch and the Precis 5th Gear Manual Transmission Control Relay.

Figure 1 shows the circuit diagram of the Precis 5-Speed Manual Transmission Select Switch. Figure 1 also shows pin location callouts for the 5th Gear Control Relay. The 5th Gear Control Relay is labeled "M56" in the relay box on Page 64 of the Electrical Wiring System Appendix.
