Throttle Position Sensor
- Disconnect throttle position sensor connector. Check resistance between terminals No. 1 and 3. See Fig 1 . Total resistance should measure 3500-6500 ohms.
- Attach ohmmeter between terminals No. 1 and 2. As the throttle valve is slowly operated from closed to wide open throttle resistance should show a smooth transition of resistance value.
- If resistance is out of specification, or fails to change smoothly, replace throttle position sensor.
