Oxygen Sensor

This sensor, located in exhaust system, sends output voltage which varies with oxygen content in exhaust gas stream. This signal is used by ECU to control fuel delivery time. This is called closed loop operation. During engine warm up, when oxygen sensor signals are not interpreted by ECU, is open loop operation.
