Air Conditioner Throttle Opening Control Solenoid Valve (All Except Precis)
- Mark vacuum hoses for reinstallation reference. Disconnect vacuum hoses and wiring harness. Connect a hand vacuum pump to the nipple where White-striped vacuum hose was connected.
- Vacuum should bleed down when battery voltage is applied. Vacuum should not bleed down when voltage is not applied. Vacuum should not bleed down when battery voltage is applied and nipple is plugged where Yellow-striped hose was. Replace solenoid valve if not to specification.
- Measure solenoid coil resistance. Resistance should be 40-48 ohms of resistance at a temperature of 68°F (20°C). Replace solenoid valve if necessary.
