Headlight Relay/Taillight Relay
- Remove headlight relay or taillight relay from the engine compartment relay box. See Figure
and Figure
.
- Connect battery (+) to terminal 2 and ground terminal 4. See Fig 1

- With power supplied, check for continuity between terminals 1 and 3. There should be continuity between terminals 1 and 3.
- Disconnect battery so no power is being supplied to relay. Check for continuity between terminals 1 and 3. There should not be continuity.
- Check for continuity between terminals 2 and 4 with no power supplied to relay. Terminals 2 and 4 should show continuity between them. If relay does not test as specified, replace relay.
