Abs Power Relay Test: Eclipse

  1. Remove ABS power relay. See ABS POWER RELAY  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect relay connector. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between terminals No. 1 and 3. See Fig 1 . If no continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity exists, replace relay.
  2. Check for continuity between terminals No. 2 and 4. If continuity exists, go to next step. If no continuity exists, replace relay.
  3. Apply battery voltage to terminal No. 2 and ground terminal No. 4. Check for continuity between terminals No. 1 and 3. If continuity exists, relay is okay. If continuity does not exist, replace relay.
